Ricoh receives Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for its GreenLine printing solution

Ricoh Europe, London, 24 May 2021 – Ricoh Industrie France has been awarded the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label for its GreenLine printing solution from the Solar Impulse Foundation. The recognition was received following an assessment performed by external independent experts and based on verified standards.

As part of the Group’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and realising a circular economy, Ricoh aims to reduce by 50% the input of new resources in product manufacturing by 2030 and 93% by 2050. The GreenLine printing solution helps to advance this goal through the collection and recycling of used parts from decommissioned devices that are remanufactured and recirculated within the production line.

To receive the Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label, the GreenLine printing solution by Ricoh Industrie France was thoroughly assessed by a pool of independent experts according to five criteria covering the three main topics of Feasibility, Environmental and Profitability. 

All labelled solutions are part of the #1000solutions portfolio that will be presented to decision-makers in business and government by Bertrand Piccard, Chairman of the Solar Impulse Foundation. The aim of this initiative is to encourage the adoption of more ambitious environmental targets and fast-track the implementation of these solutions on a large scale.
